When Gategroup set out to redefine its presence at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) in Hamburg, the ambition was clear: create more than a booth create an immersive brand world. By securing an entire exhibition hall, Gategroup transformed its trade show presence into a large-scale statement about the future of aviation services.
We partnered with Gategroup to design and develop four interactive platforms that translated operational scale, innovation, and vision into tangible experiences. Through a real-time 3D Smart Factory, a large-scale GateRetail installation, and two interactive digital platforms focused on ESG and company heritage, visitors didn’t just learn about Gategroup they explored it.
Challenge
Creating immersive experiences at this scale required more than creative execution. It demanded the translation of complex aviation ecosystems into intuitive, engaging journeys.
A production facility spanning nearly 10,000 square meters was transformed into a fully navigable real-time 3D Smart Factory, complete with approximately 30 animated points of interest. GateRetail required a unified visual and narrative system across seven hubs, brought to life through 15 animated pillars and synchronized across six large-scale displays.
Beyond technical complexity, the challenge was strategic: make sophisticated operations understandable, interactive, and memorable for thousands of global industry visitors while aligning seamlessly with physical AV infrastructure, stakeholder expectations, and live event execution.

At the center of Gategroup’s exhibition hall were four immersive experiences, each designed to showcase a different dimension of its ecosystem.
Smart Factory
A real-time 3D digital twin allowed visitors to explore Gategroup’s operational infrastructure through touchscreen interaction on a curved LED display. Complex production processes became accessible, explorable, and visually compelling.
GateRetail
A multi-screen interactive installation transformed aviation retail innovation into a dynamic visual journey. Visitors navigated seven global hubs through touchscreen controls, while synchronized content across six displays created an immersive, art-driven storytelling environment.
Interactive ESG Platform
Gategroup’s sustainability initiatives were translated into an engaging digital experience, allowing visitors to explore environmental and social commitments through interactive 3D storytelling.
