What if AI agents start buying for you? How a brand stays top of mind.

Picture this. An AI agent does your groceries next year. For toothpaste, you tell it which brand to buy. For toilet paper, you let it decide. Accenture asked 25,000 consumers about this scenario in early 2026: 56% would tell their agent which brands to consider, but one in three would switch if the agent found a better fit. Whether you land in the first group or the second depends on one thing. Were you already in the consumer’s head before the agent got the job?
Getting there online is harder every year. Anyone can make content now, and the feed shows it: things that look fine and say nothing. Consumers have noticed. Gartner found that 65% think brands produce too much AI content and 57% trust brand messaging less because of it. The average display banner gets clicked by 0.46% of the people who see it. Generic content is not read. It is scrolled past. Work with real creatives and storytellers behind it still cuts through, but that is the exception, not the baseline.

A feeling is harder to earn through a screen than in a room. That is why we expect physical interactions to grow in the coming years, not shrink. A brand activation at a trade show, a pop-up store, an experience center: places where people handle your brand instead of scrolling past it. Freeman’s 2025 research puts numbers on it. 95% of attendees trust a brand more after an in-person event, while 71% of brands lost reputation through other channels that same year. 57% say hands-on demos are the most useful way to evaluate a product. And attendees who experience a real peak moment are 85% more likely to come back. Only 40% say they had one. That gap is the opportunity.
The reach does not end at the door. Visitors and creators share what they felt and become ambassadors without being asked.
Forrester expects a third of consumers to deliberately choose in-person brand interactions over digital ones this year.
None of this replaces online. But pouring tens of thousands into campaigns buys less attention every year, at a higher price. A well-designed physical experience buys the one thing that stays: a feeling. The kind that makes someone mention your name in the agent’s instructions.
Want people to experience your brand instead of scrolling past it? That is where we start.
