Virtual Reality technology gives the audience an up-close look into the life of others. Creating a VR experience helps people to understand the need for your cause. To help raise funding for Plan International's Safer Cities project in Vietnam we created a 360 video experience where we followed a 14-year old girl named Trang.
Plan International Belgium choose yondr not only to create the content but also host the VR cinema. At the event a WIFI hotspot was created to which we connected 20 Gear VR sets. Using a tablet as remote control people were able to watch the experience synchronically.
"I'd say that VR is the ultimate empathy tool for the next coming years. A lot of companies are trying to grab people's attention. For our Safer Cities project we used VR and it was definitely worth it. If you want to capture people's minds and hearts, VR is the way to go."
